Back from the quilter’s

Standard

Last week our little friendship group (The Mad COWS) sent off 7 quilts with our wonderful quilter Natalie from: thequiltingbug. A very speedy 7 days later she drove accross Melbourne to deliver them to my door!! (what amazing service). We had our own mini quilt show as we oohd and ahhhd over each other’s quilts and with service like this and our backlog of quilts shrinking, its hard to find a good reason not to do all our quilts this way! Anyway here’s our mini quilt show for your enjoyment.

    • Unfortunately Sim we can’t really do it without using sewing machines – all hand sewing. Mind you the baby quilts worked out quite well, with people doing the hand applique and then the machinists putting them together at home. Thanks for visiting 🙂

  1. WOW!! These are fab!! I wish I was talented in the art of patchwork! Ive started trying it out again. Thanks for the inspirational posting! I have to go and try now!!

  2. Thank you for your kind comments. You really don’t need talent to start doing patchwork just a few basic tools ie. cutting mat, rotary cutter and ruler and start with simple shapes such as squares! Give it a whirl you might get hooked.
